I wanted to say something about that tint on your tail lights last weekend. It's just a bad idea in that it's always illegal and highly visible. That's why every site that sells them says they are for offroad use only! Never give them an excuse to pull you over and find anything else. What if you'd had a big Hooka pipe in the car? He would have strip searched you, hard and deep! Couldn't you have said, "oh, I forgot! I was at a car show!", and then peeled them off?
Anyway, I hope it's just a fixit ticket

I could have said "Oops, I was at a car show," but I still would have gotten the front plate ticket and side window ticket, so it wasn't worth giving him a reason to hassle with me the additional couple minutes. I'm working on getting a pop-in smoked cover for the third brake light made to solve such a problem...and clear lenses for the side markers.

Cali is very strict and for good reason....but I am glad that I never get pulled over for those things here in Michigan. I get the point about the tint...I mean really put yourself in there shoes when approaching a car you can't see into!
