Hell yeah! +1 I like the idea of a 66 fastback hardtop convertible and slap a little chrome on da sucker somewhere, anywhere.

No offense to the current convertibles, but I don't like the look, especially when the tops up.

ORIGINAL: mattblasi

Well the folding hard tops are not as heavy as many people think for one, but the other is that I think the hard top convertable would be an awesome option if the back would have more of a coupe feel. We already have the fastback in the current coupe body why not do a hard top and give it a 66 coupe look?

At the same time offer it as an option and keep the rag top as a more affordable version.

With that option I would've possibley considered a convertible, because I love the look of hardtop/coupe.

It would be awesome to have a hardtop convertible.... if Ford can pull it off and still keep pricing down to $20K, by all means do it... but if the price climbs to $40K just forget it.... I would love to own a convertible, but I rather have a hardtop for safety reasons... it would be great to have both worlds...
