Look good, and sticking out that much further, maybe it will help with the carbon dust on the back of the car, as the stock tips flow the exhaust right up the back of the car, well its more noticable on lighter colored cars

I put the slant cut 4" fast toy tips on my car today. It turned out they were only .06" larger then stock. The outside diameter of the stock tips narrows as it gets closer to the muffler, so they need to be welded to the wider portion of the tip.

The one thing that was immediately obvious when test fitting was that the stock tips needed to be cut. Otherwise, they could be plainly visible when looking down the muffler.

This is a link to my review

there's a lot of pictures on that page and it takes a while for it to draw up the first time. Give it a try again and just let it run in a background browser.

Seems like more work than putting different mufflers on.

Sorry, I found the problem. The links to the pictures were the wrong case. I fixed it. That's what happen when you develop the page on windows and post it on a Unix web server.

Thanks for pointing out the problem.

Looks great!! Thanks for fixing the photo problem............do you think the tips are too large in diameter for the cutout on the bumper and may get too hot? Just a concern...........

Cheers!!!

Hi xbone, yes, it is more work then just simply replacing the muffler, but the goal here was to keep the stock muffler because I was happy with the sound and did not want to get louder mufflers. The tips fill the muffler holes on the bumper and the polished finish looks much better. The rolled tip also gives it a more complete and finished look.

4liter6, the tips are no larger then the tips on many of the aftermarket mufflers so heat should not be a problem since others who have installed borlas and SLP have not reported any issues.
