quarter mile time on a 2005 gt auto...

What up guys I was just wondering what you guys were running or would expect to run with a 2005 gt auto with an intake and a tune. My buddy has one and I was wondering how fast it was in the quarter.

I have an Auto, with just myCAI and my exhaust and was able to put down 13.6, after only SCTwith Brenspeed and running the 93 tune, I was able to put down 13.2. When I was at the track, there where actuallyanother '06 and a'05 Stang, both Auto's, both completely stock. The best time for the '06 was13.8

RE: quarter mile time on a 2005 gt auto...

With just the Corsa axle-backs, i ran a 13.90 in 95 degree heat and 75-80% humidity.

Tomorrow, it'll be in the 50s with 38% humidity and i'll be looking to get some real times. :)

2005 GT Auto CAI, Tune and Gears.
My problem is that I weight 225 LBS this slows me down a bit.
My best mod would be to loose 40 lbs :D

I know with tbw 4.10 I should be around 13.1 - 13.2 but 13.3 is my best so far..

I ran Stock 13.9
CAI Tune 13.6
Cears 13.3

with intake and tune you should be able to get 13.3 or lower. Iwas able to go 13.4 with just intake and 91 tune and that was not even revving up at the light, just waiting at idle and then flooring it.

Wow... now I -know- there is something wrong with my car.. Ive got an intake and tune and my car runs 13.7s on average... with my best being a 13.53

bl1nkage, whatwere the temps when you ran with the intake and tune? Temps, humidity, and track conditions can make a big difference in times.

Nope you're wrong...

It's the track, OSW doesn't prep. Take a drive to Bradenton just once and try there track and you will be in DISBELIEF. It is over a million times better than OSW and you don't have to worry about crashing into sidewalls like myself.

Moral: ****ty track = bad 1/4 time and bad 60 fts. along with crashes!

+1 bradenton is a great track

RE: quarter mile time on a 2005 gt auto...

I just got back from the track. I did a best of 13.83 at 97.x mph. I'm too lazy to get the slip right now. My best run was my first one, i hooked well but didn't launch very high. My 2nd and 3rd runs came after dark and the track was getting cold and a bit slick so my 60' times rose by a tenth or so and my 1/4 times were about 2 tenths over my best. Without any more mods, i think there's another tenth or so in it...13.7s or 13'6s are realistic.

RE: quarter mile time on a 2005 gt auto...

See, youre getting times that I get and Im modded... its just my trap speed is a bit higher.. I ususally trap 102-ish.

TheDarkPath 01-29-2007 10:49 PM

RE: quarter mile time on a 2005 gt auto...

Well, your best time is .30 better than my best time and in worse conditions as well. High humidity probably hurt you.
Since you're trapping a lot higher than me, what's your 60' time?
My best 60' was 2.06 (not sure of the thousanth number but i think 6).
I think you'll do even better in better weather and with a good launch.

My absolute best 60' was a 2.076 and it was on the same run that I did my fastest ET (which was 13.58 @102.5, I mistyped it earlier as 13.53, sorry). Ive done roughly 20-25 runs total with 2-3 being on the same night... so about 8 different visits.
