RE: WTF? $140?
well i had my hood modified and fully painted top and bottom and the shop did a great job but my color took three layers of primer, 15 of blue color and three layers of clear coat. So maybe the cost is in the layers. Some colors are different then others so some times it pays down the road to do it right. It cost over 200 cost just for my paint. a hood is a big job but i hoped i helped.

RE: WTF? $140?
I have the same window louvers/scoops and they will not come off the car if prepped and applied right the first time. 3M is used by all the Big three (maybe big 6 now) and have been in use in the automotive field for years. It is usually error on the part of the installer and not the product used to adhere the scoops/body parts. I have been up to 120+ and have had the scoops for 8 months now....no problems at all.

No labor, they are Cervini's so they use the 3M Sticky tape. I dont even know if I can trust the 3m? My luck they will fly off when im on the freeway?

Arwing - Thought I was the only one that noticed this. I think it is a very valid question and does not deserve a response like that on this forum. I agree with you. BTW though - I do think that $140 is probably a "good" price from a dealer. They will always be on the high end. Also depends on if they do their own work or contract it out.

I understand you are whining, crying and shi**ing your pants,.... over $140.
Grow up, I don't need to work where you do, to undertsand the value of money, and what it costs a businesss to make a profit.
U R outta line here, a buck forty, is reasonably cheap, and well with inline.

RE: WTF? $140?
I would have a hard time paying that much just for paint. That's why I went with the louvers from wheelskin:
http://wheelskin.com/Merchant2/merch...t_Code=DG-3180
Just $184.99 w/ free shipping that took just one day of transit time!
This site:
http://www.autoaccessory4u.com/0520fomusiqu.html
charges $154.95 PLUS $150 additional for the paint
Just prep the window by cleaning and using rubbing alcohol along the edges where the tape will be going. Immediately after installing mine I grabbed it w/ both hands and could lean backwards with them still attached hard! They've held up to 120mph but I don't know if scoops would do the same
