Hi Guys,
I'm putting a supercharger on my car this month and I'm going for the polished alluminum look. As long as I'm in there, might as well put in polished alluminum valve covers ... except I cant find any. Anyone know where to get polished alluminum valve covers for a 4.6l 3v mustang??

It is not that hard to polish your ownit just takes a little time. I will save alot of money.

Hey DavisR, are the stock valve covers alluminum and I just remove the paint, or is there another option?? Do you have a picture of yours?

I heard they are magnesium and they can be removed and primed and painted with an automotive engine paint from any local auot store.

They are alluminum. I just got a pollising wheel for my bench grinder andthe pollishing compund from sears. It did take most ofa day to do it. I will get out later this week and try and get a good pic. Now they don't look as good as what you could bye, but it only cost me about 10 bucks. I also like the feeling that I did it myself.
