RE: 07's slower than 06's
funny you should mention this i just read this on wikipedia the other night:
In 2007, the Mustang received more features such as heated seats, Sirius satellite radio, and an automatic tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS). The 2007 Mustang chassis, suspension, and body shared many of the same designs and construction as the GT500. There is thicker sheetmetal/support and extra welds on the 2007 chassis. Another example is found in the re-designed strut towers on the 2007 Mustang; they accommodate the wider 5.4L 4V V8 engine in the GT500. Another example is the rear diffuser from the 2007 GT California Special package (GT/CS) being used on the GT500.

WellI was doing some research and found out the 07 GTsare slower (3-5 tenths of second, which is basically CAI & a tune) due to added weight from the GT500 but they handle better or so I read. Can any confirm the ride difference between the 06's and 07's?

RE: 07's slower than 06's
lets summarize the differences
reinforced cross-member = added static weight
seat warmers = possibly more static weight
tire sensors = static and rotating weight
3.31 = slower hookup
so maybe the combination of this is where you get the .4

Well my car is running faster then most 05-06 so I don't care... [8D]
And no I did not bother reading this crapy as thread.. As my GT had no problems running low 13's with just the cai and tune

RE: 07's slower than 06's
Isn't it also about weight distribution. I have been tempted (at the rack)to put a 100 lb sack of cement in the trunk, to apply more downforce to the rear axle. Looking at moving the battery to the trunk area. The 07s may be a tad heavier (don't know) but if the weight is better distributed, this might actually be an advantage in the 1/4...or at least offset the weight gain?
