Default Anyone familiar with these line lock?

How do they work? Are they only good at the track while doing burnouts? http://www.mossmustang.com/Shop/View...eIndexID=57176

I have seen them for $169 over at modular fords.com. Be aware that the picture is misleading. It shows solid steel brake lines, but in reality they use flex lines. They are useful for doing burnouts anywhere.

I won't even say GMS while standing near my car.

PMP has the exact same kit, same Summitt solenoids, same braided lines, same everything just not the GMS stamp on it for $179

Can someone explain to me exactly what line locks do? Are they available to automatics? How would they work? Thanks.

Linelocks the way i know work like this, You pump up the brakes a few times and then hold a button, n ow while you're holding the front brakes locked you can floor it and burn those babies to the ground untill you release the button. Now this will work for auto and manuals with no problem. someone correct me if I'm wrong but this is how i know they work.

It's simple really. The linelock solenoids go between the abs module and front brakes, one for each side. You step firmly on the brake, push the button to close the solenoids (hold it down if you have a momentary button) and now let your foot off the brake pedal. Your front brakes will stay locked until you release the button while the back brakes are disengaged allowing you to heat the back tires or do a nice smokey burnout without ruining your rear brakes.

+1 on the PMP kit. Granted, you can make your own for a little less than $100, but an additional $80 for a complete kit is not bad. $289 however, is freaking outrageous. And that's a false picture of the GMS kit, as it does come with steel braided lines and not hard lines.

It's the same stuff, but designed to mount in the wheel well as I'm sure you know. I'd still prefer where the GMS kit mounts the solenoids, in the engine compartment right near the abs, but the fact that they showed hard lines, but then shipped flex lines makes me ****ing sick!

I bought solenoids from summit and installed them on each strut tower inside the engine compartment. I screwed the stock brake lines directly into one port on the solenoids and it's never leaked. It only cost me $130, but the install was more difficult. If ford hadn't of used two different sized fittings on the abs module i'd have mounted mine where the GMS solenoids mount.
