Default This vs Granatelli or CAI+tune?

How does this compare?

http://www.wmsracing.com/wmsweb/05hvi.htm

Any experience? Obviously a competitor for the Granatelli. Interesting design - would this take better advantage of a RAM Air hood? Almost same HP as a CAI + tune? Looks good but Please help. Thanks.

in one of these threads there was a link to a mustang magazine CAI dyno shootout. if i remember this unit performed good but the C&L was better, and easier to install

C&:L and JLT give you a little better gains and are much easier to install. The WMS requires cutting wires I believe so there would be no way to return to stock.

with the buffeting problem we have with our hoods I don't like this setup. It seems to me it would make the problem worse by trapping the air in that pocket. i would go with the Granatelli also because you can use a stock tune. When you go to the dealer just pop their calibrated maf in it and load your stock tune. that way you dont have to pull the intake off for warranty work. Another problem with that ram-air setup is that it is permanent - you can't bypass it or block it off on a rainy day. I don't like water in my motor. [:'(]

JLT beats out the C&L by like 1-2 HP and both are good for several HP gains over the Granatelli especiallyr with Brenspeed or B amachips tune.

if the JLT is better for HP and is 125 bucks cheaper why does anyone buy the C&L ? I'm confused now[&:]

i like that you can get a paint matched inlet tube too

I like the looks of the C&L over the JLT myself. It think since most people on the board have C&L that was an influence also.

i thought my mind was made up. now i dunno. brenspeed says they like the C&L best. im wondering why if the JLT produces more power. they both look like they are quality pieces so i dont see that being an issue
