Mine had the leak too. Fixed it using the TSB by clearing out the rubber wiring harness grommet under the hood below the battery.

my 07 Mustang is in the Stoneham Ford for the 3 time since September 2011 and they cannot find the problem, drivers side, comes down from above the hood release.
Each time it's in there for at least a week without finding anything, one rain storm and the floor is soaked again.
In 09 when I had it in for it's 5k service the back floor behind driver was soaked.
Seatbelts always freel damp.
Any suggestions?

Yep, the rubber grommet that all the wires
go thru behind the inner fender liner on the
drivers side.

You can make sure its fully seated in the firewall
within the groove in the rubber boot.

I owned my 05 for 3 years and no leaks until one rainy period over two days and my passenger side foot well was soaked with about a inch of water. I read all the possible ways the water could be getting in and found out that my drain hole where the cabin filter is was plugged. It drains water that gets down into the cowl area. Filter was ruined, had about 4 inches of water in it. Took a thin piece of solid core wire and cleaned out the hole and no more leak. Thank god. Last 2 years dry as a bone but I clean the drain hole out atleast once every 6 months.

Yep, I had the leak bad. Hit an electrical box on the passenger side as well; windows went all crazy. Not cheap if it gets that far.

The last year I had my 08' it stayed in a Garage but the first year it was outside in Florida in many massive rain storms and it never leaked even once, I think this is a hit and miss thing like the newer transmissions.

O6 GT Hard top. No leaks so far. I removed the passenger side engine compartment grommet. But where is the second one referred to? I can't find it.

The window logic is on the actual motors themselves.
The 'electrical box' or SJB does not control the windows.

Its on the drivers side in the same mirrored location as the passengers side.
Remoingl and discarding them is frowned upon by the Carbon Monoxide Council...

Hi eddiep,

I know multiple trips can be discouraging. Please PM me your VIN, contact information, mileage, & servicing dealer name/state so I can review your situation.

Talk to you soon!
