My '06 (built September '05) has the leak. Just noticed it a few weeks ago... have no idea how long it's been doing it. Definitely have not noticed the bad smell in the A/C system until just recently nor have I had electrical problems so it seems to have been okay for quite a while.

108,000 miles and stored outside all the time.

Hi Thanks will check it out asap!! Just cost me $224.88 for Ford to pull off the cowl and clean it all out and replace my cabin filter. I have a 2007 conv. and a town tree at the bottom of my driveway, but I constantly clean out the area under the wipers...very bad design by Ford for sure. I have been a Mustang freak since my first car a 1967...but do not know that I will be buying another new one at this point. My only other real issue is passenger side door handle outside does not always retract, told me it is not covered under my warranty...wtf

Default 05 Mustang Leak attempt to force a recall

I had a leak this weekend which destroyed all my computers and wiring for my 05 mustang. It has become a all points bulletin for all Ford Mechanics which means it is real close to a recall. I have talked to several departments and if enough of us call this number and complain it will become a recall. Then any personal cash you had to fork out will be reimbursed by Ford. The company name is NHTSA and the number is 888-327-4236. Just a note the repair for the work is $4000-5000 to replace everything including labor.

No I don't, but I did have some water issues. One was the cabin filter drain plugged causing the water to leak under the front passengers feet and the second a plugged drain inside the rear quarter panels, but I have a convertible and there is all sort of crap falling down into the panels from the convertible top...

I have a 2006 V6 and it does not leak. I had a water issue in the trunk once where water would pool in the space behind the wheel well. You lift up the cardboard to get to get to the spare tire and it was on the drivers side.

However it only happened after my brother borrowed the car and sideswiped a tree from going to fast. So it was repaired for free. But before that and now after, I have no issues with water leaks.

Default water on passenger side floorboard.

Mine did this. If the car was parked outside in the rain, when you got in the car, there would be water pouring in on the floor. This is simple to fix. There is a box under the cowl on the passenger side that holds the cabin air filter. There is a rubber drain in the bottom of this metal box. It gets leaves and other garbage in there. These block the drain. When I found this, there was over 4 inches of water in it. I cleaned the leaves out and the water poured on the ground. I will never have that problem again. You can see this drain on your fire wall, back and below the battery. It is black rubber in an oval shape. There is another one on the drivers side, but it was dry. If you dont want to take the cowl out you can run a screw driver up in it to unclog it. if you do this, I would suggest running a garden hose so it would go into the box as you are removing the leaves. This can be fixed in a matter of 5 minutes. Good luck.
