don't get the foot pump as it will be hard to read a gauge that goes all the way to 100. Not precise.
I like the gauge with all the photos. Added it to my wish list.

Try using nitrogen instead of air. It tends to be more stable.

If you want a good quality air gauge then try these very reasonably priced.

I just make a habbit of doing it while the car is filling with gas. By the time I have all the tires and fluids checked its all full.

I have a pressure gage from autozone on my key chain

Not to call a dude out but thats not really true. Nitrogen will be 100% moisture free and thats about it. Nitroged will expand and contract at very close to the same rate as the ambient 79% hydrogen 21% oxygen "air".

If by stable you mean it wont explode then your 100% correct...nitrogen will not burn. If you think your tires will get hot enough to explode then it might be time to slow down a little bit

I check mine about every 2 weeks, when I get in from work and when I get ready to go to work. The first time I checked mine, they were all at about 25 lbs and that was after having the car about 3 weeks, 2 of which it was sitting. I'm kind of thinking it was like that from the dealership though. Since then they run 32 - 35 PSI and have stayed that way unless the weather changes.

I think by stable he means that your tires Will hold air pressure more consistently since the Nitrogen air molecules are denser than regular air and therefore you do not lose air pressure as fast as with regular air.

I do not think he meant anything related to volatility.
