Hey guys....i just got back to the apt....i went up to the store and came out and guy(early 20's)in a 01 Cobra was parked out by me and he rolled down the window and asked me if my car was a Cobra (GT500).....i told him no and that when i got the car used with 3,000 miles it already had the emblems on....he said he almost picked up a GT500 for $55k cash.....so i started to ask him what all he had done to his....he said he had a vortech supercharger pushing 20lb of boost.....he said before he put the "mass air" intake he dyno'ed at 600hp...and after mass air it was at 660hp......what do you guys think?? possible???

20 psi on a vortech? that's reaching it's max level unless he's got one of the hoss ones.

it's possible if he's pushing that much boost but he better have some damn good internals to do so.

Hey 07alloyGT....looks like you're down by Houston....im just north of Dallas...i've noticed since i bought this mustang....that i've become part of a new"family"....ive had so many other mustangs rolling down their windows to talk....or waving as they drive by .....and in this part of Texas NO ONE WAVES....unless you cut them off then they use the one-fingered wave. Makes you feel good....absolutely no regrets on getting the Mustang!!

unless you know the people who drive mustangs around here, we all have some sort of competitive level in our cars. no matter what it is.

if someone pulls up next to me in a V6, i'll want to smoke it, not wave to them. if a V8 gets next to me, i'll want to show them that my car is just as good or better than theirs. however, if i know the person, a wave is in order before setting the tires to smoke.

I'm about to graduate but i play club soccer at University of North Texas.....and i play indoor around here.....just bored and wanted to say something.....how much were your kooks LT/high flow cats and x-pipe and do you think they were worth the money?

Adidas, you ever been up to HPP Racing in Lewisville? There is a guy who works there, Wade, who goes to UNT....just thought that was ironic. But anyways, I think that it's cool to be around that type of atmosphere by having a Stang. I get it all the time. Though where I live, we all get a little bit aggressive with our cars at times, and when we lose to one another or atleast when I lose, it motivates me to get better...ie..learn to drive better, performance, suspension,...etc.

Hey, I think it would be kinda cool to get a couple people around the North Texas area with S197's and go cruising and grab a bite to eat sometime......

Im not sure how strong the 01 cobras are, but if theyre anything like the 03-04s then 600 seems easily possible. You might actually get better answers to this question by askin it over in the sn95 or cobra section or whatever.. just a thought. BTW, you could always have raced him to find out what he had.
