How to delete factory holes~?!?~
Can anyone please tell me what is nec. to get rid of the holes from the factory spoiler? I wanna install a ducktail but someone told me that I have to cover up the holes first. Any ideas and estimates on the price ina body shop... Thanks everyone!

they will weld em up... a little dab of body filler and a respray of the trunk and your good to go. price is something i have no idea on and probably verys greatly from shop to shop. (cheaper is most certainly not always better)

My xenon covered the holes up but i used bondo filler to cover them up. I put clear tape on the inside of the trunk and then filler on top. Then the spoiler covers it up. If your spoiler doesn't cover it up, you need to take it to the shop for them to make it look nice, if the spoiler does cover it up, then do what it takes so water won't leak in.

I'm pretty sure CDC offers a hole delete kit. Basically they give you two aluminum brackets that bolt on using the exposed holes and match up to your ducktail, making it look kinda like the NASCAR spoilers. IMO they look kinda funny for a Mustang, but to each his own. You asked for other options so I brought this one up.

I researched this and got estimates and the cheapest I found to have it done was $440 (just for the 4 trunk holes) and they want my car dropped off while they do all the work (when they actually get around to getting to it). Needless to say I've decided to just buy a new spoiler delete trunklid from the dealer($280) and have them weld up the trunk lock and fake gas cap, and then install it and my CDC spoiler..
