From what I'm reading, the Roush Warranty warrants performance, like in, we "guarantee" 360 horsepower. In terms of mechanical repair warranty, the Roush Warranty appears problematic at best.

A rod through the block will NOT be covered if there is any cal, tune, turbo, supercharger, nitrous - anything that would increase engine output, change the fueling or increase engine speed limit.
I see people get denied in this exact situation DAILY.
Usually its a finger pointing game. You may get the maker of the product to cover your repair expenses but it sure wont be Ford.
+1 each of the parties involvedmay go back and forth forweeks on end as to who is going to pay. Plus 3 years 36k miles goes by real quick. In my opinion if it does notexplode withinthe first 500 miles and you do your part as far aspreventative maintenance then all will be fine. But if fill the gas tankand go type of maintenance is what you wantthenthe car should not be modded at all.

the amount of horse power and torque it makes is the reason they can offer such a warranty. They aren't stupid, they know the odds of a failure are slim to none with that much power/torque increase.

Considering the only option you have (other than a used 4.6 3v from a totaled car) is a new shortblock or a new complete assembly - that warranty sucks for the time being.
A drop in (injectors, manifolds, the whole 9) is ~ $8500 installed
A shortblock is around $5000 installed
No reman engines available yet

So you will be out $ pretty much regardless. The best you can hope for is that the rod does not break or your mods don't tulip the valves - otherwise you will pay out of pocket even with the Roush warranty.Pretty slimchance of you trashing the shortblock with a blower and not affecting the heads at all.

Saleen will warranty the work if it is installed at either of our facilities (Irvine or Troy).

Warranty the work on the S/C install only, or warranty against any engine / driveline damage caused by the Saleen S/C install?

In other words, if I have you install a Saleen S/C exactly to your specs, and I throw a rod and grenade the engine (for example), and Ford proves it was a direct result of the S/C you installed, Saleen would cover all costs involved with replacing the engine - regardless of cost?

Yes or no?
