sounds right w/ howarmat! 275 is the width in mm of the tire, the height is the 40, and the 17 is well the rim diameter inches!

Ok I'm assuming your stock 17 inch wheels are 8 inches wide. I would get the BF goodrich KD, because they are slightly better than the KDW. I would have have gotten the KD's but they don't make my size. They do come in the 255/40ZR17 size which should fit your car just fine. The 255 is the width of the tire in mm. The 40 means that the sidewall is 40% of the width of the tire. 17 is the diameter wheel it goes on. Personally , since you are using your stock wheels I think you should get they same size tires on all four wheels. Also you shouldn't go much wider on those wheels. I have 10 inch wide wheels and only have 275's on them. One other thing you should know is that if you get this setup your overall tire height will be a little smaller than before by about a 1/4" to a 1/2" which will really will make no difference. -Andrew

If you go up or down in profile tire size, you need to remember that your speedo will be affected. You may show a faster or slower speed than you're really going, depending on the tire height, so you might need to have the speedometer recalibrated.
