I was just curious to know if anyone has Bassini headers and thereX-pipe with Cats. I wanted to know if there where any fitment issues and if there Cats set a CEL.

The other question is, What is the difference bettween headers that are 1 5/8" and 1 3/4". would I be correct in saying that a1 3/4" headerwould be more used for blown or aheavily modded engine??

Can't speak for the Basani headers, but I would say regardless of cats or no cats, you're going to need a re-tune. The tune will remove the possiblities of CELs. I have no cats and Brent just turned off all my emissions codes. I read somewhere that 1 3/4" is good for 500+ hp or something, while 1 5/8" is for < 500 hp. Not sure if there's any truth in this but I went with 1 3/4" anyways, just so there's no question once I go forced induction.

i can tell you about everything bassani except the headers. I put jba longtubes on the wifes car, and off road on back bassani. It sounds great, it all went on very easy, with the exception of a couple of header bolts on the passenger side that test your patience. Other than that, everythings great

I have Bassani long tubes, off road x, and axle backs. They make by far the best quality products on the market, and I gained 40rwhp/41rwtq with a dyno tune after installing the whole exhuast (though I lost power without the tune). The sound is deep down low, and reminiscent of an exotic up high. I was not aware that Bassani makes a 1 3/4in header, but if it is a brand new product, it would indeed flow much more than an NA motor can pull through it. Fitment is very tight, but very good, as each individual header pipe is separate, and connects at the collectors (aka, headers are a 10 piece set).
