They are see through and tinted. They replace the window.

Yeah there is a section that is completely see through, from the angle that you would look through them from the drivers seat. Look at the last pic, and it shows how clear they are... the material itself is smoked but even in dim lighting I can see perfectly through them, so I will probably end up tinting the inside of these as well lol. Also, they replace the windows, which may be a turn off to a few, but I think it will look better than simply attaching it to the windows ya know? When properly installed and sealed, there should be no leaking, and when painted they will look as if they were meant to be there to begin with instead of just tacked on the side. Sorry I havent installed them yet because I just got them (seems like everyone wants to see them installed[8D]), but I figured some would like the news that they are complete, and have arrived and are no longer just a "probable design".

I bought them also, they are great. I dont care about removing the glass because it is more weight off the car ^^.

To tell you the truth, I was too, until I saw SHR do a few "strength tests" .... this is one of the pictures from one of the tests




Thats a dually F-350 I believe.




They also did a few tests where they shot the "plastic" with various rounds of ammunition.


After seeing a few pictures it sealed the deal for me and I was proud to pre-order these bad boys. Clearly, theyre pretty strong, Id be scared to ask someone to take a dually F-350 and drive over top my stock glass..

Blinkage, congrats on the louvers. I have been following these pretty close on another site, and have seen the installed pics on SHR's car. In my opinion they look the best out of all the louvers. If these were out 6 months ago I would have picked them up over the 3d Carbon's in a heartbeat.
I will switch out to these eventually, but have to put them down on my list as I already have louvers and my wife would raise an eyebrow over that!
You also get the added benefit of shaving a couple lbs offthe car, can't beat that!
Post up some pics after install, can't wait to see.
