Total before discounts on my 2007 V6 was $23,345.
I got the Interior upgrade package, Satin Aluminum panel, V6 Pony Package, Active Anti-Theft System, V6 Leather Package, Sirius SAT Radio w/6 MOS SVC, Leather trimmed bucket seats all for $19,000 with only 3 miles! It came right off the delivery truck. I believe because I purchased two brand new vehicles the same day as well as; owning a business, own an alike vehicle, Ford X-plan brought the price down. I sold some property so I was able to stroke out a check for both vehicles all at once........I owe nothing.

Dealers most often use the wholesale price on trade in cars. If you buy a new car at or just above invoice, most often they will only give you wholesale price for the used car. The wholesale prices are usually determined by average prices that particular car is getting at auctions.

Any car you buy is going to lose a bunch of its value right when you drive it off the dealer lot. Depreciation is why it pays off to keep a car untill it is no longer useable. You will alwas lose more money if you are constantly switching cars. I guess I really don't mind the depreciation sense I am really enjoying my car. But from what I have heard the mustang depreciiates fast because so many are made and most people drive them hard.

GT will always hold there value a tad bit more, but as many have said, American cars lose near half their value in just a few years. By a F-40 if you want to make money down the line. :-)

True, because you do pay "a tad bit more" for it.
I sold my beloved 1982 GT 4 years ago to a car collectorfor $6000 in cash. I guess that wasn't too bad considering I bought the car in 1983 for $9000. A sailor was going out to sea and had to depart with it.
