Default CAI info

I am looking for an good, easy to install and not too pricey CAI. I would like it to have plenty of "show", and not necessarily "go". Btw, its a 2005, GT, Automatic.

Also, I am really new at turning wrenches on cars, so, after installation do I need to reset the computer or what ???

I really appreciate any advice, thanks

btw, quit looking at the bunny..

Hmmm... most of the reason for a CAI is for "go." If you're just looking for the "show," get a plenum cover.

And, most CAIs require a "tune" to get the most benefit. There are plenty of topics on the subject.

I know that I am looking like a fool, but better to ask than remain ignorant...

What the heck is a tune ? I tried looking at other posts but it is always refered to as a Tune with no further explanation...

thanks, and sorry for the stupid question....

itsthe ECUprogram
most seem to use the Xcal2 to load a tune on to the ecu by first copying the stock tune to the Xcal then loading the aftermatket tune

he is going for looks and IMHO the K&N cai doesn't look as good as the C&L
and if polished or chromed the C&L hands down will look better
however he would need a tune and would get more power

K&N doesnt add much for the looks though. Grantelli makes a polished CAI that does not need a tune. It uses a different MAF sensor instead. The JLT intake requires a tune but you can have it in a color of your choice. The C&L street intake also has nice look to it and also requires a tune.

I listed these for the pics not necessarily because you should by the CAI from them. Do some good research to find what you want.
