They have a $26,000 markup on all the ones Ive seen around here.....Id be skeptical that you could actually get it for sticker, not to mention LESS than the sticker. Good luck in however it turns out.

I would bet your looking at the MSRP on the sticker B4 . . . . . the dealer markup !

Very true....the sticker price is just that, the sticker. It will not have any of the markup.....you would have to ask the daeler what it would take to drive out the door in it.

Dayum......dayum.....dayum.......I just called the dealer and it is an ordered one. The guy who ordered it is going to pick it up by this weekend. e said they sold it for $11K over. If the deal falls through, he said that he will call me. They are only getting one this year and one next year for their allocation. So they are still going to produce the Shelby in 08. That's OK, if I didn't see it and if it wasn't at that dealer, I more than likely wouldn't have thought of it.

I told the wife that I would trade my GT and her GT in on the Shelby and get her a new Focus. She didn't think that was too funny.

You cannot get a GT500 for sticker, my dealer finally sold the one they got for last year for 15k over list to another Ford dealer. Shelby GT's are currently at 29k list for GT plus 8300 for the Shelby package then add on dealer markup, which puts them about 41k and up. Anybody who buys these cars for that kind of markup is rich or a fool. Sticker price should mean sticker, and gouging should be a crime. Dearborn is a bunch of scumbags for pulling this crap and not making a Mach package for around 35k.

My local dealership just sold a GT 5 for $69,000 and another dealership close by is asking $75,000 for their GT500. YIKES!!!

I think its funny how when they have something everyone wants and the "DEALERS" charge over sticker folks get bent out of shape. But when they fall on hard times and the F150's, 500's and the like are going for WAY UNDER STICKER, I don't hear a complaint one. LOL They'll make a Mach 1 package right before the next platform change. Thats how they'll get folks to buy the last of them. Then the new version will come out and the entire process will start again. Hmm reminds me of 1965 all over again.

What would be the difference if someone bought a GT500 at MSRP and then resold it for 20-30K over what they payed? The dealer is doing the same exact thing but they are ahead of the line so little Johnny can't get his share of the profits. Yeah I knowlittle Johnnywould be a used car and thedealer would bea new car.
