I was told buy the dealer they were for the pasenger restraint system also. To be one of two detection devices for the passenger side.

Well, the ECM saves data before the airbags deploy logging throttle position, rpms, speed, brakes applied or not, etc....and the insurance companies have a right to demand the info from it before they pay a claim, thats no joke.

They are motion sensors for the anti theft system however they also activate the ejection seat should a Chevy guy sit in it!

^^^^ above is true but it didn't work when the guy was disguised in Ford Blue and didn't wear a bowtie.. . . . .
