Usually they say any gain over .20 you will feel a difference, so a .42 gain will make a difference.

Made a big differnce with my auto as well. Also sounds great cruising down the highway with a few extra RPM's.

they are better then stock both the 4.0s and 4.6s being SOHC love to rev and do so to make power, if your an auto i would look at 4.10s, if your a 5 speed GT i would seriously take a look at 4.30s because ford used the t3650 with a dog .62 5th geat, a 5 speed sixer would be fine with 4.10s, some people like 3.73s with boost but i actually still like 4.10s with centris, a roots or twin screw,. or turbo i cantt really help you on cause ive never driven one. if your a 5 speed GT and go from 3.31s to 4.30s, you will loose about 3 mpg at most on the highway and city milage will stay about the same if not improve due to the fact that you can be in overdrive and skip gears.

any gears are better then the stockers, your decision, dont forget to get a bering kit and if its a V/6 some kind of limited slip unit, also, you will need a tuner to correct the speedo if you dont have one, if you dont, i strongly recomend justin at vmptuning.com, he is THE best tuner out there

Thanks for the info. Its a GT with an auto and I'm running the C&L/SCT from Brenspeed along with SLP LM's. The tune is all set for the gear change too.

i would strongly suggest 4.10s then, the 5R55 trannys have a shorter .75 5th gear but you will still be under 3k at 80 mph with 4.10s, but, like i said above, modular motors are happy reving motors (yes almost like a honda).

a higher stall torque convertor would also help alot on a launch

i'm definitley getting 4.10's. A 3.55 to a 3.73 is a small gain. a 3.90 would of been good too.
