Radiator hose came unclamped.

Radiator hose came unclamped.
My families Boston Terrier is now a daddy, so I went over to check out the pups today. I had to park at the car on a steep hill and had to gun it pretty hard to keep from hitting the car facing me. Anyways, I pull out onto another road behind a FedEx truck and then out of nowhere smoke comes POURING out of my engine. Naturally, I yell obscenities and pull over into a gravel area off to the side of the road.
I open the hood and notice water has been sprayed everywhere and that there was a puddle under my car and a trail going down the road from where it was. I called my dad and had him call the nearest mechanic. My cousin came to bring some water for the car, becuase it was very obvious that the radiator hose had come unclamped. We got some water in there and drove it up to the nearest mechanic, and apparently the hose had came from the factory clamped in the wrong place.... its amazing that it took 20,000 miles for somthing like this to happen.

RE: Radiator hose came unclamped.
Noticed the same "puddle on the floor" in my garage...upper radiator hose clamp. Except a friend of mine pointed out it was actaully cracked and broken. So I took it to the dealer to have them fill up the coolant and replace the clamp with a stock clamp...(just to make a point). They did indeed fill the coolant up, and told me they replaced the clamp...ofcourse I look under the hood only to find the same screw type hose clamp I had used to fix it.[:@] Then I got, "we replaced the clamp!"....to "we'll order you the clamp"....to "we can't get the clamp". Anyhow, maybe something people should just glance at in their own cars.

We had issues with hose clamps. Some yahoo at the assembly plant was putting them on wrong, causing them to break. And yes, failures like this are warrantable with little questioning. Again, it is something kinda known. Unfortunate to say the least, I apologize for the pain. It truly does suck.
I WANT A BOSTON! Selling any of the puppies? Pics please! That was the first dog I owned and it remains the best one to this day. He lived 17 years and we put him down because he had arthritis and was going blind - but he was still a kick *** dog till the day he bought the farm. I had that dog from about 1 month of age to a few days after my 17th birthday.
