Krill, when we meet up after I get back from Cali, can I drive your car around a little bit to see how the shifter feels when driving? When I felt it in the parking lot at M.M. it felt a little too notchy for me.

This is one of the simplest things you can change on the 'stang. If it's loose, pop the boot base off with your fingers, move it to one side, and then remove one bolt. Put some loctite red or blue on the bolt, then screw that thing back in until it's as tight as your wee little fingers can stand. Then do the other one, same same. Pop the boot cover back down on the console. Wait an hour. Problem solved.
