Default Dealer Quote for Labor on 4.10 install...

So they quoted me $645 for just labor. No parts included. Is that an average price?

DO NOT GO TO A FORD DEALER!!!!!! find a reputable tranny shop to do the swap, most of the idiots who work there dont do rear ends or do them on a daily basis, tranny shops are dealing with gears and trannys constantly and will beable to do it right (no whine for helical cut gears) and quick. get a referance from a local stang club

americanmuscele.com has 4.10 gears the discount code is mustangboards

I got a quote from JBA last week, $605 for parts, oil, labor, everything...I'm still looking at some of the other local shops to get some quotes, so that I can see if it's a reasonable quote, or overpriced. I'm going to try one of the off road/truck warehouses that does rear end work on Ford trucks, as well as doing custom work on Camaros & Deuce coupes...

I'll be back on credit if I go to the Ford dealership.

That sounds about right for the magnitude of the work being done, but wow...that's a lot of $$ regardless..
