ZEX - Opinions from personal exp. please
I purchased the ZEX kit for my 06, since I decided to stay N/A. I ordered a bottle warmer, purge, and the cupholder activator switch. I'm only going to be running a 75 shot and no more for the safety of my car.
Personal opinions on this setup and all safety additions to the kit you made please note in this thread. Have you guys had some major traction issues with this setup, because i'm already having that problem. Any insight on how many times you've used it and how frequently you use it would be more than appreciated.
Thanks,
Jeff

RE: ZEX - Opinions from personal exp. please
I just installed my kit. But havent tried it yet, I have zex on my othercar, but I want the 100 shot on my stang. I think the 75 might not be enough for me. Plus zex rates there jets to the crank so a 75 is like a 60rwhp or so shot. The 100 should get me like 80+rwhp. Of course traction is a concern so unless you have sticky tires squeezing out of the hole is not really happening. maybe even 2nd. my buddy has the 75 on his 05 stang and he said he only squeezes in 3rd cause of traction.
I just made a post about the 100 shot. Some say I will need a tune. Im just thinking of running the 87 or 89 tune and changing the sparkplugs to a stage colder. Lightning performance has them for like 85 shipped..Ill let you know by next week how it goes. I'm filling the bottle friday, and hopefully hitting the dyno.

How was the install?
Is there a setting where you are able to keep the zex off until 3rd? That would make more sense to me, because I really don't want to kill myself shifting into 2nd gear. I think 2nd gear would be the earliest I would want it to engage.

Zex goes off the tps sensor so it only activates if your at Wide open throttle. So untill you flip the switch and floor it, it wont come on.
Hopefully I can get my car dynoed.

I run a zex 100 shot. You will need slicks of some sort, I don't yet. As far as not spraying in certian gears, I recommend the zex window switch. you can program it to not spray in 1st, 2nd etc, You also can set the rpms you want to activate it, example, Kick in at 4000 rpms and stop at 600 rpms.
+ 1 as far as probinator said, If you are going to spray I would go more than 75, or I feel it would get lost.
