IMO:
The moment you subscribe or start reading about a certain subject or activity means you have interest in this particular item.
The moment you get involved about that same subject/activity, you're an enthusiast (meaning your hooked)
I think the word you are looking for is freak...

I'm not a freak (for sure), I'm just happy I was able to buy a mustang and damn proud of owning one. Like it or not, I don't care.
In a nutshell:
you can say a lot about the S197 drivers and I think you are saying it in the wrong place. 'Cause the non enthusiast will not be on the forum 'till the early/late hours...
I personally know a few persons who drive a non-S197 mustang and they don't give a f#$k that they're driving a mustang. It could be a mercury/chevy/...
For them, it was just the right car with the right price at the right place.
End of story...
