Default bought a 2007 gt...

hey guys i am returning from iraq soon, and my wife bought me a 2007 silver mustang gt manual premium pakage( how cool is she right). well it should be there 2 weeks after i get home. from what i looked up so far the 1/4 mile for the mustang is around low to mid 13's is this true? i am new to fords i use to have a 2000 grand prix gtp the supercharged version had around 250 horse power. so i really can wait to feel the 300 horses this bmf has. i was also wondering if there is anything i should look out for that goes wrong with these cars? so far i have seen nothin but good things, this car has me going crazy waiting to drive it, i am sure it wont disappoint.

also my buddy has a stock srt-4, can i take him ?

thanks for the help guys.
ecited new mustang owner.

CONGRATULATIONS on both the Mustang and the really cool wife!

As far as beating your buddy... GT speed is electronically limited to 145MPH, the SRT-4's top speed iselectronically limited to 153 mph.

This is way faster than you'll be going when you pass him...

Have fun but be safe.

cool thanks guys, i do have one other question my wife told me that it comes with a hood scoop. well i have tried to look up stock gts with hood scoops and i cant seem to find any, just wanted to know what it looks like and i take it that its not functional or can it at least help cool the engine?

so i take it most stock mustangs do have a low to mid 13 in the 1/4

later guys

First and most important- thanks for everything you're doing in Iraq.

Congrats with the Mustang...you and your wife will have a blast driving it. If I'm not mistaken, you will have no problem taking the SRT-4. You shouldalso begetting in the 13's...exactly where I'm not sure. Good luck!

I know you'll love that car but don't forget to give that great wife a lot of attention too. Here is the factory hood scoop on mine.
