Cool, they look sweet Scotte! I really wish I had 5-800 bucks for some Saleens. Especially since I plan on deleting my fogs here pretty soon. Maybe Ill just have to dish out the cash and get them.. Ive been waiting almost a year now for them to come down and they havent really... In your opinion are they worth it? I mean, are they substantially brighter? Do you find yourself needing to turn on the fogs for the extra light like when you drive with just the stock headlights? Id just hate to delete my fogs, then spend that amount of money on the Saleens only to find that I need more light, ya know?

The Saleen HID's are definitely much, muchbrighter! No comparison to OEM head lights. They are much brighter and shine much farther. I did replace my fog bulbs with Silverstars, so they look closer to the color of the HID's. It was definitely worth the $850+ spent. I wouldn't throw my money away on the Stangmods kit. It's just not the same.

Hey scotte no hard feelings! I went back and forth with you on a previousthread and we both had to PM each other to come to an understanding...remember! Anyways this is my experience and you were posting your personal experience with actually having the Saleen HID's installed. All in good fun. I wish I had the money to spend on the HID's but I am installing the polished whipple (again I love the look of yours) and need the money for that. Take care, Jason

Installation isreally not that bad, and the payoff is great!
i wasn't trying to be a dick with mygt500, just injecting some humor, and my personal experience, not something I read. I believe personal experience is much more valid than what's in print. And for bascho: I never claimed to be an "expert', but I think i have a pretty good idea of what I say since I've actually changed from stock lights to projector beams to Saleen HID's. That doesn't make me an expert on anything, but it does give much more credibility. I also do know for a fact that if you install a real HID light in a non-HID enclosure it will melt. I am going to take an infra red temprature reading from my lights, and one from a Mustang with stock lights and see what the difference is. That is the only true "expert" way to tell.
