Have they said they were coming out? I am not so sure we will even see a new camero next year.
Even if they do and they look like anything that they showed last year, they will be heavy i assumer (4k lbs) and even with 400hp you guys should be ok with CAI,Pullies,Tune,Gears and a few other things, the gto were 400 hp and were 4klbs and gt's beat them (sometimes stock for stock) with few mods

They will be coming out febuary 08,They will have the 400hp gto engine,They will be in the 40k range,They are having a problem right now trying 2 make the V6 as cheap as the mustang V6,lol,OOO no gto engine,How many GTOs u see on the street?lol

They need to break in the motor first before they can use those rumored 400 horsies 
To be the V8, you'll need a GT. Of course do the basics, CAI, exhaust, better tires, wheels, suspension, etc. Then add a Supercharger to top it off. I'm thinking 450 HP right there. And a modded supercharged 450HP Mustang GT will perform a lot better than a stock 400 HP Camaro. IMO

.I actually think I read that they are not even going to bother building the V6 version because of the cost. They are already going to use independent rear suspension so that is one reason why the price is going to be so high.

As mentioned be before I don't see it happening to easiely N/A unless you have some decent headwork and a hell of a suspension setup (LCA, UCAs, adjustable shocks, sticker tires etc, etc) and don't skip on the drivtrain either, gears, Clutch, flywheel, Lightweight DS. And then you might just beat them through the 1/8th mile. Just my unqulified guesstimates. But the 5.3 V8 might be easy prey for lightly modded GTs
