clueless girl: Roush Hood Scoop
I love the look of the Roush hood scoop, but does it matter that my mustang is just a V6, not a GT and NOT a roush???

RE: clueless girl: Roush Hood Scoop
What matters is that it's your car and you're free to do with it as you'd like. Although you might get some ugly glares if you put neon lights under your car, 15ft high spoiler, and a 10 inch exhaust tip; from the members, but yeah. Personally I don't like the Roush scoop, or anything Roush sells for that matter. All in all it doesn't matter if we think it looks good, it's if you think it looks good. Personally I don't care if someone puts Shelby badges on their GT, that's their choice. Would I? No.
Anyway, it's just a scoop and someone isn't going to know if it's a Roush scoop or not by looking at it. (I think there are similar small/nonaggressive scoops on the market.)

OH!! thanks. In that case, I just want a hood scoop on there. I only heard it called a "roush" scoop. So, I thought they were ALL called that. I just want a scoop, basically. It never had to be a roush. Thanks for the advice and clearing it up. Oh, and I may be clueless..but I know not to put the neon lights and 15 ft. spoilers!!

RE: clueless girl: Roush Hood Scoop
Hi, You'll find a lot of scoops on the market. I like the Roush scoop myself and I plan to install one in the near future on my V6. As other say it's your car and do what you want to do, not what others think. Obviously there's nothing wrong with ideas and suggestions but in the end do what you like. If you go to websites like www.graphic-express.com you can see customer car photos (click on car photos then new Mustangs) and you'll be able to see a lot of cars with scoops/stripes etc and get some fresh ideas. Other websites do the same thing.

Silly "clueless girl" - Scoops are for boys!
I really like the look of a hood scoop. The best advice I can give you right now is to go to a site called www.ponybuilder.com
This is a great site because it lets you see how different mods will look on your car - color, style and all.
You have to check it out. I personally like the Boss 429 scoop.
I am going to get a shaker hood scoop (you can see it on ponybuilder). It is considered "functional" and is not seen (by some) as just a non-functional, costmenticpiece. (not sure if it is available for the v6 though...)
I am also considering stripes because they really add a lot to our cars.
Also, since these cars are modeled after the 67 - 70 Mustnags (more or less) - a ducktail spoiler is always a great mod in my opinion. I have the factory spoiler and want to get a ducktail.
Bullitt wheels would look great on your car.
and so on and so on, etc..... Welcome to the "Mod Squad"
I think the members here are great.
