How is the fit around the Hurst shifter? Do you have to buy a new boot?

You can install it in 15minutes with basic tools, not worth taking to a shop.

Awesome shifter it is sort of notchy for daily driving but when shifting at high RPMs the shifts are like butter.

Do it yourself-it's easy. A 12 year old could do it. Just remember to put some blue Loktite on the shifter lever capscrews. They WILL vibrate loose. After some time the stiffness will lessen.
The expensive Hurst is a billet assembly.

Ive had mine for about two weeks now, and I love it. I could never imagine going back - the shifter has also loosened up considerably.

A shop will charge an hour of labor, so base it on that. Also if anyone has used it in colder weather i.e. mid 40's and below have you experience any noisy vibrations at 4k rpm's?
