Getting a hood painted and was just curious as to what everyone has paid to get thiers painted. I was quoted $240. to get it painted and me install. Or $320. and they would install. I'm deffinally going to have them install it. This is also from a Ford Saleen dealer. Thanks

I say do it yourself as it is easy & save the $80 bucks... I paid for paint to have mine painted and thats it... so like $60 bucks... but I did call around and was quoted much higher at $400

you and another person can put it on its not hard at all
save that extra dough for some performance mods

Well, mine was custom painted, but it wasabout $475 for paint and labor on the hood. My brother and I installed the hood ourselves, and saved time and labor. You can install it yourself and take it into the body shop and they will usually remove and reinstall for paintingat a smaller charge in labor than if they had to remove the original and fit the new one. Not all shops will do this, but it worked out that way for me with this car and the last couple I owned when I upgraded the hoods. Good luck and show some pics when you're done.

I would install but I am also having them install some hood pins as well. And while they are at it I am having them do some warranty work. They are going to attempt to fix some outside noise I hear when I hit bumps, and hopefully some interior rattles. I forgot to ask but I am also going to ask if they do tint. If so I am getting 35% front 15% back 3 windows. If not by them, any other tint shop. Once I get it home I am installing some louvers I bought pre-painted. Then installing the C&L cai and Brent tune. Well maybe it would be a good idea if I also had them install the Cervini grill while they are doing the hood pins. I feel lost now.. [sm=icon_blah.gif]
