I would like to know too. Because 91 gas is getting to expensive for me. I would get a job, but school is already to much for me right now

OK seriously you will probably get better milage with the 91-93 and if you cant afford the 10-12 extra a month you have more problems than that!

Huh, for some reason I always thought that you got less gas mileage with higher octane fuel.

I dynoed my car with 89 octane tune and it put down 285/301 and then went back a week later with 91 octane tune and put down 290/305 with the same weather conditions. The higher the octane the more timing equaling better throttle response, thats what it really comes down too, and my car gets the same gas mileage with all of Brents tunes I have tested and tried and it seems every 2 octane points is worth 4 rwhp/4rwtq, at least with my ride

Yep that is about what I have heard too. About 4-5 HP per octane step.

If you do change the tune to 91 or 93 or whatever, and your interested in saving money at the pump (87 octane vs. 93), just remember that yes, you are going to feel more performance from the carbut youmay also find your right foot getting into it a little bit more and a little more often.

If you're strapped for cash just keep it rockin' with that 87 tune 'til you aint strapped no mo.

I am considering buying the C&L intake/SCT X-Cal 2 tuner combo and got an email from Dave stating at 87 octane I could expect 15-20 more hp and 20-28 more hp with premium.

I split the difference and went with the 89octane tune. Works good for me.
