How many have hit the rev limiter?

RE: How many have hit the rev limiter?
I never put any words in your mouth. I only assume it is stock since you never said anything other than using a tuner. And by stock, Einstein, I'm talking about the internals. Not too many people put forged internals in just to use a tuner. You can keep calling me a dick, it doesn't bother me, and you obviously know alot about them. I'm the type to put my money where my mouth is, not to make claims thatI cannot substantiate, such as 7000 rpm's. I'm so done with you junior. Like I said before, enjoy the hell out of your car. It sounds legendary. If you truly do have this high revving monster, I'd like to hear more about it's internals, RWHP, RWTQ, and see a dyno sheet.

I just got a Gtech Pro SS and was testing my 06 GT/AT and went over 6000 rpm in first gear and it scared the crap out of me also. I just instaleed 4.10 gears and it takes some time to get adjusted too. However, she seems to be doing fine. The rev limiter did kick in, because I lost power before shifting to 2nd.

Wow this is an old thread!
I hit the rev limiter too often, mainly if I loose traction and the tranny does not shift in time. It's not as bad as it was, as my tune got adjusted to minimize that. But once in awhile I'll spin/loose traction and hit the limiter, while under full boost, too!

I hit the rev limiter at the track last time I went. I have an automatic so it isn't likely to happen unless its topped out at 150 or so. But I was accelerating down the track and as it shifted to third I went over a small bump and lost traction causing it to hit the rev limiter. That was the only time it ever happen in my car.

I've hit the rev limiter a couple of times in 1st gear. Even stock with FRPP cold air & tune it pulls pretty smoothly through 6000. Especially for a relatively large displacement long-stroke engine.
Not drag racing or street racing, BTW (I don't get involved in either). The car is just willing.
