Well, I discovered that the new Shelby GT as well as the GT500 have no spare tire. They have a temporary mobility kit to seal the flat and pump it up. Can someone recommend an inexpensive wheel and tire that will fit the lowered Shelby GT (lowered by 1.5") an still fit in the trunk wheel well? The tires on the car are P235/50ZR18.

Is this the stock spare tire. Does it work with your 1.5" lowered stang?

Why wouldnt it fit......235/50/18 is the stock tire size used by the Gt when ordered with the 18" wheels. Even if the car is lowered the regular spare tire will work since that is the stock tire size lowered or not.

Ask the Ford dealer that raped you to provide an extra wheel/tire combo. It's the least they could do for $15-20K.
