Like Blueherd said Paint will run you a couple hundred depending on the quality you go with, and then there's freight which may run another hundred so by the time its all said and done you will be closer to $1,000 then you may have thought unfortunatly... If the hood provides function Im more for it however, i think the gains will be minuscule... jmo though..

For some of us, adding a hood, or spoilers or other such items is all about customizing our cars to an image we have in our heads. To me, this hood is very stylish and should look very good with what I've done to my car thus far. Yes, it gets expensive, but if it makes you happy, price doesn't matter.

when you stop and think about it.... it really isnt that much money when some of us are spending $200 for some painted quarter louvers. compare that small painted object to a hood and its really not too bad of a deal. i cant talk much though - i went with the cheaper route and bought the painted roush scoop. LOL

As for the hood i love it. 1.000$ for an intalled hood? Decent...all depands on the quality of the paint job.
