Stolen Mustang clocked at 153mph
HERMISTON, Ore. (AP) - On Thursday, police from three jurisdictions stopped an Idaho teenager on Interstate 84 after a chase at speeds exceeding 150 miles per hour.
Nine police vehicles from the Boardman Police Department, Oregon State Police and Morrow County were in the chase that stopped 17-year-old Jason Koch of Star, Idaho, in a Ford Mustang after using spike strips.
Police say Koch is suspected of using a stolen credit card, which was issued to a Savannah Parker, at an Arlington gas station. Police caught up to the stolen Mustang on Interstate 84 at the Highway 207 exit.
Morrow County Undersheriff Steve Myren said he clocked Koch at 153 mph at one point.
