Are the front and rears interchangable?
I did a header install last week, and my o2 extensions did not come in on time and I had to hack into them to extend them. The new wires will work with both connectors, so it is only a question if the sensors are the same mechanicly.

The front and rear o2's are different. The fronts monitor your closed loop air/fuel and the rears monitor the cats to make sure they are working properly. Maybe someone else will chime in but i don't think they are interchangeable.

I'm not 100% positive, but I believe the only reason they aren't interchangable is because of the wiring harness length. On my F 150 for example there are four O2 sensors. The fronts have shorter wire leads then the rears. because of this you couldn't use the fronts on the rear. I believe the actual sensor is the same. All they are doing is measuring O2 at different locations.

I'm going to swap them out and see what happens. Doesn't take but about 5 min to do, if it throws a code I'll swap them back out.
