Is there anybody here that has passed the sniffer, but still failed the test because the cats weren't original or were moved further down due to a LT setup?

Kooks are great headers, but they are NOT street legal, even if you have the cats:

Longtube headers are NOT emissions legal. Why? Federal emssions laws prohibit changing or moving the OEM cats. Becasue longtubes replace them, or require moving them even if you tried a custom-fab job to keep the stock cats, they are NOT legal.
They changed that a while back. That is why many companies are now able to sell "legal" cats and also why dealers throughout the nation are able to sell vehicles after putting on aftermarket exhausts including midpipes and cats. Still doesnt mean LTs are legal though.
