Roots and screw look similar on the outside but a roots is just an air pump and screw is an air compressor
they both have two rotors so I feel its redundant to say twin

I feel any S/C could be used as a DD. The gas mileage lost is minimal these days and they are all very reliable. The question is ...Do you have a lead foot? then the S/C will hurtgas mileagefor the DD other than that go for it!

I think the stang causes you to have a lead foot (unless you have an unnatural resistance to the disease)
and a S/C adds to that

I have to agree but I can show restraint and the disease hasn't affected much of anything yet! LOL!

I use my mustang as a daily driver. I chose a centri because, I can drive around town all day long in lowish rpms and the boost stays at 0. So basically, it candrive as a stock GT all day if that's what you prefer. This is good for gas mileage and wet roadways.I changed gears recently to 4.11 and it'snot as user friendly as before and requires more shifting to stay in the low rpm range..

I'm very happy after one year with my Roush s/c, and they are coming out with awarranted smaller pulley and tune to take it to 450 HP at the flywheel this week. It is currently 417HP. Passes EPA tests too.

With a conservative boost and a good tune (to make sure your air/fuel mixture is not too lean), you should have a reliable setup.

I have a Saleen SC w/ the upgrade kit (the stock setup is rated 475hp at the crank), which has a conservative boost (6-8psi), and a decent tune. I only have 6k miles, but no problems so far. Mine is not a daily driver, but I see no reason why it couldn't be one.

I believe Roush and Saleen are the only superchargers that will retain your Ford warranty.

How much power do you get running at 8psi?
It put out 433 to the wheels on a hot engine. My dyno sheet is posted on my website (blacksharkracing linked below, under the racing tab). Notice where the torque band is flat as a board...kind of like one of my high school girlfriends! The power is right where you are--whereever you are!

Word has it that the Saleen is the most efficient design, expecially since the KB is a 2.6 liter version now (mine is a 2.4).
