Default Aftermarket speakers for the Shaker 500

Those of you who have the stock Shaker 500 and have replaced the speakers, which speakers did you buy? And which speakers did you replace, doors, subs, rear? How much difference did it make in the sound?

i put in a whole system with 2 alpine typeR subs, a pioneer touchscreen dvd player head unit, and pioneer 4-way speakers all the way around, 1-farad digital cap, and 1200 watt mono-block alpine amp. that was great till someone broke in and stole my pioneer head unit.all i have left in now is the pioneer 4-ways with the stock door subs and the stock head unit. it sounds a lot better than stock just b/c the aftermarket door and rear speakers can handle more power than the stock speakers. that allows you to turn up the bass a little more without so much distortion.

i really miss my old system though.

Ooh nice setup

Same thing I was pretty much thinking of doing almost.

How much did it cost you if you don't mind me asking?

Feel free to PM if you want.

I'm leaving mine stock for now, but if I were to change or upgrade anything, it would be to JBL speakers front and rear, and JBL 8's in the doors to replace the stock ones.

Good luck with whatever you do...

It is not worth 1200. You can easy get some decent bass to replace the added subs for a couple hundred and it wont take up as much room in the trunk.
