Default I was wondering...

Me and a few friends were just driving back from Harkins theatre(saw 300, b/a movie!) and we somehow got talking about the drive-by-wire technology that is in 2005+ mustangs, andwe were wondering, ifmy car were to turn off for some reason, would the brakes/etc. not work?

I think the drive by wire affects only the throttle body, but I'm not sure. Can someone confirm?

Drive by wire is electroniclly controlled and back in the day you used to be able to rev the car form underneath the hood...not anymore[:@]

Your brakes would work but lose their power assist, as would the steering, I think. Your windows would not drop down that 1/4 inch when you opened your door.
