Hey all! I'm looking to get a CAI for my 2007 V6, but don't want to mess around with flashing the system. Which CAI would be the better to use:

MAC Stainless Straight Shot

or

BBK CAI

Any insight would be GREATLY appreciated!

K&N doesn't require a flash either!
Tune would be great thou, you really don't know what your missing until you tune it!

Don't waste your money on a CAI if you aren't willing to tune it. Do it right the first time. Go C&L with a Brenspeed 93 octane tune.

Personaly i say the steeda CIA and tune is the way to go. The C&L gives more power but the steeda tune is tuned to not effect the car over a long period of time.

I will most here...get a CAI and tune from Brenspeed or B amachips tune. You will not be sorry at all. Why do you want a CAI without tune?

OK..... It appears that I should go for the C & L WITH a tune. Now, my question is which tune....87 or 93 (is there a 91)? I need the one which will have a good balance between performance & economy. I have a 70 mile round trip to work 4/5 days a week, so I don't want to totally kill the mpg.

The only other performance mod I plan to do in the future is a cat-back dual exhaust setup. Luckily my next door neighbor owns a muffler/exhaust shop, and is already chomping at the bit to get working on it.

You will get about the same milage with any octane. You can get any octane tune you want also. 91, 92, 93 all can be done. The 93 gives the best performance and there is no real decrease in milage. It depends on the gas around you. Some people cant get anything but crap for gas so they burn lower octane and tune according. Others have no problem finding 93 or 94 and we make the most out of every drop ot it!
