lower your tire pressure. Your tires will grip better.

Do a small burnout to clean the tires off.

I personally would go 20 psi...

but hey maybe someone that drag races more often can give you an exact PSI.

the generral idea is to soften the tire so it grips better... you get the idea. That is what drag racers do.

take blueherd02gt's advice... those 20's will act like anchors.

I don't think lowering the tire pressure is going to help much. There isn't much side wall with the 20s so lowing the pressure may distort the tire. Lowering it too much will cause the middle of the tire to raise up so that the edges are the only parts that are touching the ground.

For short sidewall radial tires lowering the tire pressure gets you nothing, DO NOT USE THE WATER BOX and don't bother with long burnouts, a short spin is all you need for radial tires, oh yeah, STAY OUT OF THE WATER BOX (it should be automatic bittch slap for radial tired cars)With 4.10's you need to walk the car out of the hole, DO NOT launch higher than 1500 rpm and walk it out, this will get you the best times, don't launch to impress your friends or your short times will suck. You will be hitting 4th gear and oh yeah, she'll make the best times if you nail the gears at about 6500 rpms, don't powershft into 2nd unless you're sure she'll grip (mine smokes 2nd gear if I powershift)make sure you use the 93 octane tune and 93 octane gas.

Good luck and have fun!

All you need is a quick burnout to get the junk off the tires (dirt, sand, etc). I have the 18" bullitts and I run about 21-22psi.
