I love the white Shelby GT, but it really should have a larger HP rating, somewhere in the range of 350-375 HP

I have the black one and I had the option to get a white one. To me the white is cool, but when you see the black, one the first thing that comes to mind is AWESOME! Ford and Shelby have nailed the look IMHO. It's a blast to drive, has all the mods I would have wanted to do to a regular GT, but still has the full warranty. I wish it had more HP but it really is balanced like the MT article says. The spoiler delete was the right move too. The S H E L B Y letters across the trunk lid stand out much better without the wing.I think it looks much better than the GT500. Everyone who has seen it has commented that it is an awesome looking car. Hell, if I want to I can add a S/C later but I probably won't. It's just about perfect as it is.

Go to www.fender.comand register to win one.

Last Saturday I checked out a Shelby GT. I liked it but the price they were asking to much $51900.

They were asking $50k for mine but I got it for $41K, which is still 3K over MSRP, and more than I wanted to pay but it looks like it was a pretty good deal considering the market. The dealer had just gotten it in, I had only happened by luck to stop and see it (I didn't know they had one), it was near the end of the month (Feb 23th) and Ford had just published their biggest loss (~$12 billion?). I started at MSRP and they worked me up to 41K.

Shelby GT is very nice...but they could have at least given it 375HP...looks great but no more real zip than your standard GT...
