Yeah, I totally agree. $51k+ for exclusivitydue tolegendary name bearing isn't cool. I mean, it's worth something, I guess. It'll probably be worth more in 20+ years because of it; maybe the samewith Roush and Saleen. But I'm not exactly rich and paying that much over for an autograph isn't my cup 'o tea. It'd be a different story if it had the name + more power though (more than the +19hp). I probably still wouldn't buy it though because this damn thing is way too much fun to drive and I wouldn't be able to let it sit for years to keep the mileage down!

yeah, it's funny how if any of US were in charge at Ford the Shelby GT would have 350HP! I mean they go and bring out another GT-H but can't call this one a 350??? WTH?
I hope these don't get too modfied by owners trying to take on heavily modded base GTs.
I guess it's weird. If you can afford the $50,000 prices you can afford to mod it. But then you'll be lowering its collectibility. Which is why they are so expensive in the first place!
I'd like to see how a blown GT goes against the Shelby GT on a road course, not just the 1/4 mile! Would the better handling pay off?

You guys know the original GT350 wasn't named because of 350hp right? Ford could have used the GT350 name this time around as well if it was available.

It should be like a 380 HP so it's the same increase a GT from a V6.

V6- 210 HP

GT- 300 HP

Shelby GT- 380 HP

GT500- 500 HP

Ford should not allow such massive mark ups over list!! Just my opinion.

its funny i put a poll up about a month ago about should it be illeagel for dealerships to mark up prices and boy did people hate that idea. im just think ts insane for a dealership to mark up a car that far. I believe this is one of the things killing ford. Due to if they sold shelbys at the sticker they would sell more and then they would sell more gt to build up. a win win win situation. now all there doing is making people walk out the door in anger.
