Rock to the windshield!
So I received the dreaded rock to the windshield while traveling on the turnpike today leaving a 1/4" spider web type crack. Is there anything on the market to prevent the crack from spreading?

Is there any reason you don't want to replace it? Even with using a kit, you will eventually have to replace it.

True...guess I was looking for the cheap way out. Also a little worried about leaking problems with a front windshield replacement at the dealer or an autoglass place as opposed to the factory.....

I noticed u said turnpike, and if your talking about the one in Florida, then I'd like to remind you that all florida auto insurance companies are requried to replace windshields free of charge due to damage like that!![&:]

stanngg, check your Yellow Pages for a "windshield doctor." They can repair small stars, cracks, etc., and pretty much guarantee it won't spread...
of course I'd be more worried about the fuel jockeys in your state who don't go easy on the fuel tank doors and surrounding quarter panel...New Jersey needs to get in line with the other states and have self serve gas stations...when I head to Connecticut on trips I gas up in Delaware and then re-fuel when I hit New York...

Funny about the fuel jockeys....I watch those guys like a hulk when I'm filling up. They tend to be more careful when they see you watching them.....Of course I have my favorite stations where they respect the stang...
