Finally Saw an '05 GT up close yesterday...
 

Unfortunately...I'm going to join the haters club. I think the 99+ is 10X better looking. I really liked the concept of the '05, but they just ruined it. Dumbasses.

i saw one yesterday at carls jr. it looks nice in my opinion but i prefer it with the spoiler delete option. i think it's a waste of money to buy one now since they're bound to make a mach 1 model or some other special edition model like a boss for only about 5k more than the gt.

I find the 99-04's to be bland! That's why I bought a '98. I started to get a '99, but I just couldn't make myself like the body style. I love the '05's, but to get the '05 I would have had to let go of my 2000 4x4 Tundra Limited and since it is almost paid for starting over on a new car note would be foolish. Besides I love my Tundra.

When everyone gets use to the new body style and the values drop I'll get the new body style.

i saw one on display at a local dealer by me....i fell instantly in love...i stood in the pooring rain just gawking at it, it practically brought tears to my eyes... then i hugged it and went on my way:( I REALLY WANT THIS CAR!! LOL

If you really know anything about cars....
First of all you would know that it doesnt matter what it looks like out side(well you have to have a nice shape) But otherwise you can change it....
Second Its performance sells me!

Was there this much opnions over body style when the 99 came out? was everyone like God I love and it and God I hate its????

We have always looked when the style changes, but there is always something familiar and comfortable in the style so when the 99 came out we didn't get much of a shock response here, it was generally positive.

The '05 is so retro it seems like they threw the last 25+ years out the window. There is no familiar comfort factor to it, just pure nostalgia w/ 21st century techonology. It's definately a mid-life crisis car!
